The UP government announced the construction of four new expressways. This announcement was made by the state’s Finance Minister while presenting the budget in the Assembly. The government has decided to build this expressway to strengthen the state’s road network. This will boost the state’s economic development and people will get new employment opportunities.
This expressway project will help in connecting various areas of the state to the road at a faster pace and will also increase the speed of development. People’s journey will become easier and they will get relief from traffic jams. The Uttar Pradesh government has paid special attention to infrastructure, education, health, social security and economic development in its budget. The state budget is Rs 8.08 lakh crore, which is 9.8% more than last year. This budget will help a lot in the development of Uttar Pradesh.
In the budget, a new green field expressway has been planned to connect the Agra Lucknow Expressway to the Ganga Expressway. For this, the government has made a budget provision of Rs 900 crore. Apart from this, Vidya Express will be constructed in UP which will connect Meerut to Prayagraj Ganga Expressway via Varanasi Chandauli to Sonbhadra. A provision of Rs 50 crore has been made for this project.
Bundelkhand Rewa Expressway announced for which the government has made a budget provision of Rs 50 crore which will help a lot in the development of Bundelkhand region. This expressway will work to connect Bundelkhand and Rewa of Madhya Pradesh rapidly.
Ganga Expressway, The government has set budget of Rs 50 crore for this expressway. This expressway will be extended till the western extension of Haridwar, which will prove to be a big relief for pilgrims and traders. It will also be very convenient for those people so that people can get rid of the jam and pilgrimage can be done comfortably.
The Finance Minister said that a plan for one greenfield expressway and three general expressways has been included in this budget. The road will be constructed on new land under the Greenfield Expressway and other teams will be built to improve the roads present in the express.
