On 2 November 2024, on Saturday, a campaign of Rs 861 crore was launched to make the roads in the state free from potholes. On Saturday, Chandrababu Naidu launched a mission project for pothole free roads at Venelapalem in Parawada Mandal of Anakapalli district.

The state has about 54,000 km of road network out of which 20,000 km to 30,000 km of road is damaged. During the meeting, the RNDV officer informed Mr Naidu about this. The entire leadership was in the presence of RNDV Minister B Jana Darshan Reddy. It was told that a target was set to repair all the potholes within two months.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Naidu started the work by filling a pothole at Venelapalem junction along with all these potholes for the pothole free road project. Home Minister V. Anitha, Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu and Madugula MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy all came together to help in the pothole free road project. Rs 861 crore was sanctioned for this campaign.
